Burn It to the Ground: Full Moon in Aries Magic

Burn It to the Ground: Full Moon in Aries Magic

This week brings us the Harvest Moon - one of the brightest and boldest full moons of the year. It gets its name from the way it lights up the evening sky for several nights in a row, historically giving farmers extra hours to gather crops long after sunset. It’s a moon of momentum, of wrapping things up, of taking stock of what’s ready to be brought in - and what’s ready to be left behind.

This particular full moon is in Aries. And if you know anything about Aries energy, you know it doesn’t tiptoe.

Full moons are always a time for release. Ideally, you began setting your intentions two weeks ago at the new moon. You planted seeds. Focused your energy. Pointed your compass toward something you wanted to grow. And now, with this light pouring in, it’s time to see what’s working… and what’s not.

This is where Aries energy comes in like a match to dry brush. Aries doesn’t ask for permission. It doesn’t hang around hoping things will fix themselves. It sees what needs to go and it acts. So think of this moon as a cosmic permission slip to let go fast. Not gently. Not with a whimper. But with a blaze of fire and fierce self-trust.

So here’s what I recommend: Write down the things you want to release. Habits. Thoughts. Guilt. Fear. The weight of something you were never meant to carry. And then - burn it. Safely, please. Let the flames consume what no longer belongs. Watch the ink curl and blacken, the paper crumble to ash. Feel yourself lighter.

But… what does this have to do with jewelry?

Everything.

Because when I choose what to wear each day, I’m not just picking something pretty. I’m picking a talisman. A reminder. A whisper. A spark. Jewelry, for me, is a spiritual practice. I think about the astrology, the energy I’m calling in, or the emotion I want to anchor.

Maybe I slip on a silver ring as a way of calling clarity into my communication. Maybe I fasten an opal pendant to help me feel more deeply attuned to my intuition. Or maybe, on a day like today, I wear something bold, something that screams fire, something that reminds me I am allowed to walk away from what drains me and to do so without explanation.

Jewelry holds intention. It holds memory. It holds you.

So tonight, as you stand under this Harvest Moon, light your fire. Burn what needs burning. And then, as the embers fade, pick up the piece that reminds you of who you’re becoming - and wear it like armor.

Because the truth is, the work doesn’t end when the fire dies out.

It begins.
