Gold Tone Flame Slide Pendant Necklace

A flame, or a wing, or a wave. It refuses to settle on one and that is most of the appeal. Brushed satin gold curls down to a fine point, and a second line arcs around it set with five small stones, so light runs along the outer edge while the body of it stays soft and matte.

It is a slide, not a fixed drop. The chain runs straight through it, which means it moves when you move and sits wherever the day puts it. Nothing about it is anchored, which is a strange amount of pleasure for such a small mechanism.

The chain is flat and closely woven, the kind that lies down against the skin instead of standing off it. Together they read as one object rather than a pendant somebody hung on a chain later.
