Monet Graduated Double Curb Link Collar

This is not a chain you layer. This is the chain.

Double curb links, two parallel bands riding together through every link, graduating from the back of the neck out to the largest ones sitting flat across the collarbone. It lies down against the skin instead of standing off it, which is harder to engineer than it looks, and which is exactly the thing Monet did better than almost anyone.

Signed with the copyright mark on the clasp bar. The scale of it, the hook closure, the extender chain, all of that reads 1980s, back when a woman's neckline was a place you made an argument. It was built for shoulders. It still is.

Wear it over a black turtleneck, or a white shirt with the collar up, or a bare neck and nothing else. It does not need a pendant and it will not tolerate one.
