Pink Sorbet

Four stones in silver bezels, stacked slightly out of true, each shape refusing to line up with the one above it.

Rose quartz, prasiolite, aquamarine and pink tourmaline, each treated differently. Some polished, some faceted, one left rough. It has the irregularity you only get when somebody actually made the thing by hand.

And this one has a second life already built into it. It was handmade by an artist and originally sold through a gallery that was later forced to close. We reclaimed the piece from the gallery rather than letting the work disappear with it. The artist’s hand is still all over it, from the deliberately uneven arrangement of the stones to the raw pink tourmaline left exactly as it was.

The strand is faceted rose quartz, pale enough to read almost clear until it catches the light, finished with a sterling toggle worth wearing turned toward the front.
